The most exclusive ...

The picture I present in this entry offers an expressionist view of the prominent figures that populate celebrity magazines and reality shows. The ones that enjoy ostentatiously the good life, the ones that, from time to time, turn out to be involved in financial scams and bedroom fiddles. That is why the picture title is Jet Set, an expression which could be translated into Spanish as “La igilí”, a colloquial version of the english high life frequently used in Madrid by the end of the 19th century
(see www.fotomadrid.com).

The musical theme is the "Chotis del Elíseo" from Chueca and Valverde´s lyric revue "La Gran Vía", interpreted by the great mezzo Teresa Berganza.
